When it first became a noticeable issue that the “refugees” entering European countries were bringing violent terrorists with them, the Regressive Left rushed to find any reason at all to deny the truth of the matter. When the evidence began piling up against them, they resorted to their classic tactic of claiming that anyone who hesitates to accept potentially dangerous people into their country is a racist bigot who suffers from Islamophobia. They’ve repeated this process for months now, with no signs of slowing down.

But recently, things have begun to change slightly.

In an interview on Fox and Friends, John Kirby, the spokesman for the State Department, revealed that our fears have been completely justified all along. When asked about the likelihood of a potential terrorist to pose as a harmless refugee, Kirby stated, “I wouldn’t debate the fact that there’s the potential for ISIS terrorists to try to insert themselves, and we see that in some of the refugee camps in Jordan and in Turkey, where they try to insert themselves into the population.”

And still, the leftists who currently operate that very State Department will tell the rest of us that we are all evil people for ever even considering the possibility that people from the Middle East may not be the safest people to provide access into our country. As always, they use their faux sense of moral superiority to discredit extremely reasonable viewpoints in order to make themselves feel better. That’s what is so dangerous about all of this: they’re willing to risk the safety of the American people in order to avoid offending people in countries on the other side of the world. It’s madness.

If we can’t guarantee our safety when it comes to the refugees of these war-torn countries, then it is indisputably dangerous to open up our borders to them without extensive vetting. The saddest part about all of this is that those on the left know this to be true, yet they continue to convince themselves — and try to convince the rest of us — that it is not.

We cannot lose our sanity. We have to work together in order to remain clear-minded and acknowledge the inconvenient truths that the Regressive Left continues to try and twist to fit their dangerous agendas. It is up to us to keep our country safe, since it’s clear that the powers that be have other things in mind.
