BREAKING: 640,000 students affected by “credible bomb threat” in LA

Officials with the Los Angeles County Unified School District closed all schools in the district today in response to a “credible terror threat.” There are over 900 schools in the LA School District, and more than 640,000 students have been affected.

This terror threat comes less than two weeks after Islamist terrorists massacred 14 Americans at a work-related Christmas party. During that attack, a massive amount of explosives was found at the Inland Regional Center where it occurred as well as at the shooters’ home. Investigators have said that the San Bernardino shooters were likely involved in further terror plots planned in the area.

As reported by the LA Times:

Officials have closed all Los Angeles Unified School District campuses Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was called in to board member, roiling the nation’s second-largest school district.

Authorities said they plan a search operation of all LAUSD schools after an “unspecified threat was received.”

KTLA.com reported:

Officer Kim of the Los Angeles Police Department told KTLA that the threat prompted the decision from LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines to close all schools until further notice.

Mass shooters and terrorists are known to target gun-free zones, such as gun-free schools, universities and theaters, as recently pointed out by demonstrators in Austin, Texas. Stay tuned for further developments.
