During an interview regarding their city’s homeless epidemic, a councilor from the government in Tecamachalco, Mexico bluntly suggested that the solution may be to simply kill them all off by lethal injection.  Olga Gutierrez Machorro went on to expose that the killing of beggars was already unofficially going on at the local psychiatric hospital, El Batan, who apparently often just deposit patients deemed “un-aggressive” in the middle of the motorways at night, where they are killed by oncoming traffic.

To add insult to injury in this already ghoulish case, Councilman Machorro is also responsible for a group called the Vulnerable Groups Commission, whose public mission it to try and find ways to help the homeless and disadvantaged. Apparently help is a loose term in Tecamachalco, as murder has now been rationalized as a public service.
